Happy New Year my Crafty Friends, I can NOT believe that 2015 is here. Last Year (2014) went by way to fast I felt like every time I blinked s new month went by. At Kiwi Lane Design we are working with Tags and Winter Templates. I couldn’t pass up the chance to take advantage of the SNOW we got for New Years. The snowflakes from Winter are too fun.
Kiwi Lane Templates I used:
Tags: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7
Winter: 1, 2
Tiny Tags: 1T, 3T
The First thing I did was print off my pictures. To pick my paper I started by picking a main paper I liked, then I went through my paper and found papers that matched or that I liked with the paper I picked.
Paper Used:
the girls’ paperie – on holiday
October Afternoon – Road Map
pinkpaislee – starlight
My Minds Eye – I believe
Echo Park – Sweet Summertime
Fancy Pants – Rusted Sun
American Crafts – halloween
After I chose about 6 papers I figured I would begin, I started with the Tags on the second page. I made it so the tags hung off the page some, glued it down and then turned it over and cut the extra off the page.
The bottoms of the tags is what I used on the left side of the first page. This is how I made it so the pages had something familiar on each page. I then rearranged the pictures till I liked where they were on the page and worked from there.
I did distress a lot of the templates on this layout, only inking the snowflakes on the first page.
Added a few small tags on the page for color and to fill in that space a little. The small snowflake embellishments were added and then I doodled with my black and white pen.
I can’t forget the cute little snowmen I found in my winter stuff.
